PlayHit users can type a message and the service will scan through a library of audio clips that matches the user's message. PlayHit works with almost any existing instant messaging platform. The app launched on Apple and Android devices in December 2017 and within the first week saw 10,000 downloads in the Google Play Store, with an average of 1,600 audio clips being shared daily. The brand aims to generate revenue by forming licensing deals with mobile companies to integrate the PlayHit service into keyboards, similarly to the Emoji keyboard. Proceeds from this funding round will be used to improve the PlayHit technology and produce a marketing campaign for a worldwide audience.

It will use the investment to scale and grow its user base.
