Pedal Me (PM) uses proprietary electric cargo bikes in combination with trained employees to provide a fast, clean on-demand service to help move both people and goods around London. It argues that it trains its personnel based upon the curriculum of the City and Guilds of London Institute creating skilled riders who can carry passenger payloads up to 150 kilos, cargo payloads up to 150 kilos, and trailer payloads up to 300 kilos, respectively, on their bikes, covering distances at a speed motor vehicles cannot match. PM has grown to 50 personnel and 52 bikes since its founding in 2017. It has featured in global print media such as BBC News, Financial Times, and Volkskrant. PM also earned revenue worth £657,000 in February 2021 despite the COVID-19 crisis. It will use the investment to scale and find efficient ways to continue its growth.
