FloatWind manufactures mass-produced floating offshore wind turbines. It seeks to disrupt the £20 billion offshore wind energy market. The company argues that conventional offshore wind farms, installed at sea, use expensive and slow installation methods that are also dangerous to the marine environment. It further stresses that the high cost of installation is often borne by the consumer. FloatWind asserts that its business model is different. The company claims to build its products on land and then floats its ready-to-float turbines out to sea. The company points out that this reduces environmental damage, substantially reduces costs, and makes offshore wind energy cheaper. FloatWind was selected for a 6-month UK Innovate Edge business mentoring programme and appeared for SetSquared Business Mentoring Seminar in May 2021. The company has 3,000+ followers on LinkedIn. FloatWind states it will use the investment for product development, expanding its team, IP protection, promoting marketing and PR, and boosting its manufacturing capabilities.

Loanpad is a financial technology entity that provides a user-friendly, lower-risk platform for investors to earn inflation-busting interest through shared short-term property loans. It argues that its portal shields customers from much of the risk of peer-to-peer (P2P) lending by partnering with established property lenders, who take on both higher risk and return. Investors can invest through Loanpad's Classic and/or Premium accounts (both ISA eligible). The Classic account pays 3% and allows daily withdrawals, while the Premium account pays 4% and requires a 60-day notice for withdrawals. Loanpad has over £22 million in funds under management, onboarded over 2,600 registered investors, and witnessed over 150% growth in loans through 2020. It is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Dynamo claims to be the world's only 100% electric zero-emissions London black cab. It asserts that it uses Nissan's fully electric eNV200 Evalia MPV as a donor vehicle and converts it to a fully certified and compliant London 'Black Cab'. Dynamo argues that there are nearly 70,000 taxis in the UK, of which 4,000 have already converted to electric vehicles. Dynamo is competing to convert the remaining 66,000 into electric ones to gain profit and improve the environment. Dynamo has, to date, sold 170 vehicles in London, Liverpool, Coventry, Sheffield, and Nottingham. The company intends to become a competitor in the £4 billion taxi market. It states it will use the investment to procure a vast array of additional parts and equipment from a localised supply chain, increase its workforce, develop a second product in collaboration with Nissan/Renault Alliance, and strengthen its relationship with large automotive manufacturers.
