Plastic products that are generally considered non-recyclable such as food trays and pouches, films and crisps packets can be processed by the company's machine. Contributions in the funding round will be invested towards developing around 200 RT7000 machines per annum at the company's manufacturing site, with a 2027 target of 1300 RT7000s to be leased to other businesses. Recycling Technologies has predicted that that from 10m tonnes of plastic, 7m tonnes will be processed into Plaxx®.
