MERGER MEANS RATINGS AND COMPARISON FOR CROWDFUNDING INVESTORS

Business Agent Ltd, the UKs first FCA regulated Alternative Finance aggregator and ratings platform has merged with CrowdRating and rebranded to NextFin - The Alternative Finance Marketplace.

NextFin is designed to help investors and businesses more easily navigate debt and equity crowdfunding in the UK. Users can compare rates and charges for peer-to-peer (P2P) lending and have visibility of the companies currently crowdfunding across the platforms. Along with ratings that independently assess the quality of the company for investors, NextFin also have ratings for the Platforms. NextFin aims to help users make more informed decisions.

Founder and CEO, Sacha Bright, commented on the merger and rebrand. “Our simple to understand ratings index is designed to be a useful tool for both professional and retail investors in a sector that has little of the publicly available analysis available for listed companies.”

“There are hundreds of equity & debt finance platforms and thousands of investment opportunities, yet they are difficult to compare and there hasn't been a trusted rating service in the marketplace, until NextFin. In our opinion the FCA levelled the playing field for Crowdfunding and P2P sites when it updated the regulation this year (2019). We can now gather data and compare companies, platforms and investments fairly. We believe ratings will reward those platforms that offer their users increased transparency that will in-turn raise standards across the industry.”

“We believe NextFin is the compliance solution for alternative finance providers. By providing the data to NextFin they can demonstrate compliance with FCA rules by being completely transparent and allowing their due diligence procedures to be audited and rated by an independent party for comparison.”
