Valentian Vermouth

Status: Funded

Jun 1st 2021 - Jul 1st 2021

Valentian Vermouth (VV) combines crisp Italian white wine with a distinctive Scottish new-make malt spirit to create vermouth. It aims to become a contender in the global market for vermouth that was worth $8.7 billion in 2019. The company remarks that consumers are looking for new and distinctive brands, particularly for use in low Alcohol by volume (ABV) cocktails. It intends to fulfil this demand. The brand has received rave reviews from bartenders and influencers including Kesia McHardy (Winner of Jack Daniel’s 'Tennesse Calling IV') and Joey Cobbe (Head Bar Tender, House of Gods Hotel). The company has also featured in press entities like The Scotsman, The Herald, Press & Journal, Scottish Field (luxury edition) and in Sunday Times's 'Cocktail of the week'. The brand was awarded the Silver Medal at the 2020 International Wine and Spirits Competition. VV will use the investment to build a sales team, open its first venue, grow relationships in the on- and off-trade, and bring in a PR and marketing agency to help grow its profile.
